TL/RX + 77!

Hey guys last two days WERE AWESOME!

Saturday: Jake and I went to the Ted Leo and the Pharmacists Concert @ the Metro in Chicago!Got back around 2 AM - but it rocked super hardcore. Got to hear the one song I reallly wanted to hear more than the rest, "Walking to Do" - and they sound AWESOME live. Had a reallly bad opener band tho, the bassist kinda looked like Caitlyn Schier.

Sunday: Woke up around 1 PM and watched the first lap of the NASCAR race, and went to my daddies. Later we go to a cookout and finish watching the race; the atmosphere was awesome - we had 3 Gordon fans ( Gramma, me, Dad) an Earnhardt fans (Sandy) 2 Stewart fans -blech- (Mike and Kibbler) and we were all on edge the last 30 laps. Screaming and hollering at the TV about the moves on the track. Damn, Talledega is awesome. Gordon ended up winning, passing ol Dale Sr. in career wins - needless to say every non- Gordon fan was pissed.

Needless to say, Kyle is wearing his old 24 coat to school tommorow.

Two Rants in a Week - Not even CLOSE to my record

"I contend that we are both atheists. I just believe in one fewer god than you do. When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours."
-Stephen F. Roberts

This quote is brought to you by one of my internet pals to help me flesh out how people can claim themselves to views that are obviously outdated and in need for serious revision. Today's topic of revision? Christianity - hell - all poly/monotheistic religions currently held in anyones point of view.

Just for the sake of my effort – I’m going to focus on Christianity, and if you are of another theistic religion, reapply my words to fit your context.

I am not saying Christianity, as a whole is a bad thing - In fact the core of it is very, very good. It tells people to live as a good person, respecting others, other's property and the life of all of Earth's creatures, created by one almighty omnipotent god.

(Which brings up a point I completley and totally neglected - IF there is an almighty omnipotent god, why havent we always belived in him? Why are there other relgions? Why are there people with out religion? Surely someone/thing that can create a planet on a whim and create a universe in a week could tweak our minds to tell us he or she is real.)

That’s where the revision needs to be made: To prove my point - lets go on a field trip shall we? Lets go back in time...

Lets say roughly 200,000 years ago... In the Congo of Africa the Human Race has come into existence, as we know it today. We, as a race, were not exactly on par with the intellect that we have now: The "old" humans would look to the sky, and see a giant ball of fire... What is that? Where does it come from? What does it do? Such an alien thing, with no explanation.

That’s what they did, they came up with an explanation - The Sun is apparently a god, an unknown force that does as it pleases and lights the world. Simple. A god exists to quell the unknown. Lets go forward a bit - say 2,000 years ago.

Gods still exist - the Roman Empire, in the west, the Persian Empire in the middle east, and the Chinese in the far east all have their own polytheistic views of the world - to explain the unknown. Even as science makes rapid discoveries, people as a whole hold on to their old beliefs, as their fathers and grandfathers had. As more and more religious theories become replaced by scientific fact, more and more polytheistic religions "die off".

Here we are today - and the only "unknown" is where we came from. Nearly all of the old polytheistic religions are gone. The only reason why this is an unknown is because current people are too intolerant, too indignant, too close-minded, to see past the cultural learnings that have been beseeched upon them by their family, generation by generation.

The problem might be - people have become too pompous and have the following mindset, "Hey look at me! I’m all fancy and smart! The things that I believe in and the things I have been taught must be right, because we are humans, and humans are never wrong about anything, because we are very smart!"

Its funny.

To summarize - we have a few monotheistic religions that dominate the planet: Judaism and Christianity, Islam, and Hinduism. A few of these religions (In recent and in the past years) haven’t gotten along all so nicely. Nearly all the books of these systems preach to be nice, and to not kill, and to respect. Problem is, they all tell the reader, the believer, that everyone else is wrong - this becomes "trump": Now, because they are different, its okay to kill them, its okay to discriminate. That is wrong. That is horrible.

I ask myself all the time how something so good at heart (the morals of such religions), become so evil? Its simple; the extremes that people take their belief to is much to high. Why do they believe so strongly? Because they have been told all the time that they are right, and everyone else is wrong - and if they don't they lose that, and become less potent. This causes friction between parties, and stress, and eventually violence.

All Single followers of religion need to conform, and revise their own religion in some sort of mass meeting. All current religion’s gods should be done out with, besides eventually being proven impossible, like EVERY SINGLE GOD BEFORE THEM, they cause people to disagree, and to hate one another. Religion should not do this. It preaches the opposite - and should continue to: Get along, no matter of thoughts. It is OKAY to disagree (or else Id Be a HUGE hypocrite by posting this) just not at extreme levels. Religion needs to take a proverbial "Chill Pill".

Ha, its very very funny - Religion needs to evolve. Irony is a pain in the ass, isn’t it Bible Thumpers?

Too cap it all off - Science isn’t always right either. Remember when we thought Earth was the center of the solar system, and the Sun revolved around us? Humans thinking we are more important than what we are. Science revises, that’s what makes it right, that’s why it is acceptable. It evolves, it changes, as facts do.

If religions could do this - and morph as the world does, we as a race, would advance so much faster culturally. Religion should be phased out for Philosophies, less of a "How we came to be" and more of a "How we will live". As they "re-do" this, the old laws of the religion can be reincorporated, and it will still have the same moral value, without the existence of gods.

Game Over religion. Your time is past, time to rush in a new age, one of free thought, and peace.

Klendy Day - Celebrate

Its now a Holiday... Kinda... Because I have a statue and stuff...

Thursday = Klendy Day. Treat them as such.

HEY YOU! YEAH YOU! SKATER PUNK! DO A KICKFLIP!

Whoo hoo! I got off my lazy ass and felt like writing!

Its not so much that I hate all of you so much that I want to make you suffer by obligating you to read this horrid blog, its just that I enjoy it. :D I am quite evil, arnt I?

I thought for once that I could maybe start actually talking about my life and how much it sucks or how its so much more awesome than yours - I could have; but then I would be no better than all the other emos/preps/jocks/geeks/any other social clique that exists and become something much, much lower than myself - An American Teen.

*----shudder----* Thats terrible: One must come to terms.

Maybe I dont want to adapt - maybe I'm societies rejection, maybe I'm a breath of fresh air, or maybe I'm the entertainment for today.

Alas I have come to speak to you, my peers, my "lessers" all of you claiming a clique and abiding by its rules. Maybe Im a cynical bastard sterotyping all of you, but streotypes exist for a reason, that is a cold hard fact. People just dont come up with a preconceived notion that you MIGHT be what you are - but you ARE what you look like.

Maybe Im nothing I've eluded to; Maybe Im a mold breaker, maybe I'll set a new trend and be no better than the rest of you.
